Pokhara is a beautiful town on the banks of Phewa Lake, set against the stunning backdrop of the Annapurnas. Thousands of tourists visit Pokhara every year. The town has phone/fax and good internet access. It is 2952 feet above sea level and 200km away from Kathmandu in the mid-western region of Nepal. To get there it is 6 hours by land or 23 minutes by air. We place volunteers in the mountain areas around the Pokhara valley.
